Sr IT Administrator

Job Description

This Sr. IT Administrator role will fulfill the daily completion of Application Administration/Development responsibilities of ServiceNow Applications.

The primary objectives of this position are development, troubleshooting, code fix, maintenance, code deployment, upgrade, and performance tuning for multiple ServiceNow applications, including production and other environments.

You Will:

  • Provide administration, maintenance, application development, and technical support by using ITIL and ServiceNow’s standard methodologies on the platform.
  • Be the team leader for group of ServiceNow administrators.
  • Mentor team members and act as a partner concern point for the team.
  • Create custom applications, catalog items and their associated workflows.
  • Supervise health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications.
  • Coordinate application and platform patches and upgrades.
  • Identify problems, research solutions, reconfigure or recode system to improve system functionality.
  • Develop scripts, workflows, and flows on the ServiceNow platform to automate tasks and integrations.
  • Be responsible for the complete lifecycle of production/sub-production environments including necessary configurations and integrations, application administration activities (operational, migrations, and upgrades).
  • Analyze incidents to identify application and system problems and solutions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting of performance, integration, and user management issues by reviewing application and system logs.
  • Assist in the maintenance and administration of user profiles including groups and role management.
  • Develop procedures and scripts for monitoring and automation of manual processes.
  • Engage with product engineering and support teams to address issues and any planned activities.
  • Maintain system documentation for configuration and troubleshooting of known issues.
  • Work closely with other admins and teams to support the delivery of related tasks efficiently.
  • Develop standard methodologies for administrative operations and enhancements based on lessons learned.
  • Ability to think strategically, confirmed attention to detail, and excellent organization skills.

You Bring:

  • 8+ years of related work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with ServiceNow Application Development, Configuration, Administration and support.
  • Scripting/Reporting experience using Javascript, Angular, Jelly, HTML or similar
  • Understanding and experience of the platform including LDAP, Mid Servers, Service Portal, Client Scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, SLAs, SSO, Scheduled Jobs, Reporting, Notifications, etc.
  • Experience migrating code from lower environments to production
  • Experience configuring, upgrading and supporting ServiceNow
  • Strong problem solving and data analysis skills.
  • ServiceNow experience in ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Request, Service Catalog)
  • Performance Analytics is a plus.
  • Performed integrations with 3rd party tools using web services (REST and SOAP).
  • Experience using and following SDLC methodologies with a focus on Agile/Scrum.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Confident and able to multi-task and handle expectations in a fast-paced environment with ambitious priorities.
  • Good understanding of ITIL v3 processes.
  • ServiceNow certifications would be advantageous and applicable professional certifications preferred!
