Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Software Engineer in Aliso Viejo, CA to prototype and perform research and development on next generation features with internal development kits. Requires a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent, and one (1) year of experience conducting packet level protocol analysis, implementation, and debugging for software products and platforms. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience developing and implementing congestion control mechanisms and developing intricate encryption methods; utilizing project issue and defecting tracking software; designing and implementing client-server architecture utilizing JavaScript and C/C++ debugging methods on Windows and Linux platforms; developing secure parallel transfer technologies analyzing remote video formats to enable real-time transcode processing; designing and creating libraries to produce customized versions of modern streaming compression formats; analyzing and assessing key performance metrics to optimize resource utilization at global scale for H.264 encoding and decoding; and designing and coordinating deployment at scale for applications leveraging Kubernetes Container orchestration for Continuous Integration and Continuous Development.
