Larian is seeking a highly creative and motivated Rigger that will be responsible for working together with the Art and Animation departments to bring to life an incredible and wide array of characters and creatures using different rigging and skinning techniques. Full body bipeds, quadrupeds, facial setups, non-legged creatures; we have everything for you to put your skills to the test. Given that you will work with a multitude of people from different departments, good communication skills are a must as well as interest in not only your own craft but game development as a whole.


    • Rig 3D assets (characters, creatures, props, sets, etc.) to achieve the intended animation performance for both gameplay and cinematics
    • Support the Animation and Art teams, fulfilling as much as possible their in game and offline needs
    • Be proactive and vocal about any issues encountered in our rigging pipeline and communicate with the Production team in a timely manner
    • Author and implement rigs for gameplay and cinematic characters, creatures, props, or any other asset that is required in game
    • Troubleshoot, maintain and improve rigs in production, while ensuring their stability for the animation team
    • Collaborate with design, modeling, and animation teams to build robust, animation-friendly rigs
    • Work closely with modeling team to assess asset topology and provide notes as needed
    • Research, build and develop unique and one-off rigs
    • Follow rigging standards for assets going to the floor
    • Communicate with the production team on concerns and production issues ahead of time
    • Support the Lead and Seniors of the department in any ad hoc tasks and duties


    • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
    • Experience creating full body and facial character rigs in Maya or any other DCC package
    • Proficient in skinning and other deformation techniques
    • Good  communication, time management, problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary and multicultural team
    • Willing to take on new challenges and a strong appetite for learning, researching and developing
    • Team oriented and has a strong desire for collaborative participation in a team-based pipeline across different geographic locations
    • Able to take direction and feedback positively, adapt to change and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines
    • Enthusiastic, methodical and organized approach to work with high quality standards
    • Sense of initiative, originality and resourcefulness in problem solving

Nice to Have

    • Competent with scripting languages such as Python
