PixelOpus, creator of the award-winning action-adventure PS4 game Concrete Genie, is seeking outstanding talent to join our passionate and creative team in crafting an exciting new PlayStation 5 title in collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation.

PixelOpus is one of the Global Game Development Studios within the PlayStation Studios family. Located at PlayStation's HQ in San Mateo, CA. We are looking for a well-organized Production Assistant with amazing communication skills and attention to detail.

Production Assistant (Contract)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Project Management leadership, Directors and subject area Leads to help manage scope, quality, risks, and prioritization of work. Interact on a day-to-day basis on production tasks with our internal team in all aspects of development - animation, art, design, engineering, outsourcing, tech, etc.
  • Support team in deadline management during sprints and milestones, assisting in tracking tasks, deliverables and expected outcomes.
  • Help identify and communicate roadblocks and bottlenecks that may prevent the team from achieving their goals.
  • Maintain regular communication with team members and project collaborators
  • Help champion effective meetings - record meeting notes when needed and translate them into a coherent, organized recap and list of action items.
  • Assist Production across a wide range of activities - Legal, Marketing, PR, QA, UX, Vendors, Software License, Hardware procurement and other tasks as needed.
  • Partner with Production Management on studio projects, assisting with requirements gathering, communication, execution, etc.
  • Help organize and archive assets and documentation across team.
  • Assist in milestone and sprint planning

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Experience working with production, programmers, artists, and designers with ability to adapt communication styles as needed.
  • Experience with a school related game project or personal game project
  • Experience with MS Office, email, presentations, bug tracking software (JIRA), agile/scrum management software (JIRA, HackNPlan, Miro, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage time and prioritization, ensuring work is progressing according to schedules and projects goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience required
  • Basic understanding of Game development and Production practices would be a plus.
  • Open to constructive feedback and mentorship
