Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Gameplay Programmer in Los Angeles, CA to own an entire in-game system and serve as a point of contact for any issues arising in the system which involving projectiles fired by characters in combat scenes. Requires a Master’s degree in Entertainment Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent, and one (1) year of experience testing and verifying additions, changes, or fixes in existing code are correct and preventing additional bugs or errors. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience utilizing object-oriented design and design patterns to write high quality, well-architected code, including enhancements and changes to existing code; writing performant C++ and Python code that can be changed and iterated on without excessive overhead; developing user interfaces in Qt, PyQt and PySide; reviewing peer-written code to determine correctness and identify problems and likely bugs to be fixed before roll out; serving as the point of contact for Perforce and solving peer issues relating to the software; and implementing parallelized tools in Maya using Qt to continue background processing while keeping the main application responsive to eliminate user wait time.
